I sometimes question why I do certain things. Alright, I often question why I behave a certain way, or why I choose the things I do. Baking cupcakes and then frosting them into the wee hours of the morning is one of them.
It's really never too early, or in my case, too late to bake. Weee!

Hi Patricia, they WERE worth not sleeping for. I made them for my colleagues to decorate because it was someone's farewell party and that was one of our parting gifts to her. So I brought all that to office and watched them decorate the cupcakes with sprinkles and icing. Their faces and joy made everything worth it indeed. =) I haven't actually tried it myself, but my mum did and loved it. As for shiny icing, it's not difficult! Just 110g chocolate melted with 1/2 cup cream. Try it yourself! =) It hardens the next day, which makes writing with royal icing easy.
would you mind sending one of those i-get-hungry-just-looking-at-pictures-of-it cupcakes to me? Can you hear my stomach grumble from all they way there? *grumble grumble* I want.......

ooo.. Well, I think it is worthwhile! I bake alot at night as well but not till 3am! ;p
