Hi, I have been reading your blog on and off as you provide awesome recipes! I was just wondering if you knew where to find fresh vanilla beans in Singapore. I prefer the real flavour than that of vanilla extracts but i cant seem to find them in local supermarkets. Thanks!
Hi, Don is right, you can get it from Phoon Huat. Phoon Huat is all around Singapore though. They have an outlet at Holland V, at Bugis area, and apparently at Ang Mo Kio. Hi, I'm glad you've decided to get them. They are cheaper if you buy it in bulk. You can always keep the remainder in an airtight, glass container, in the fridge until the expiry date. =) Good luck and let me know how your baking goes with the fresh vanilla beans!

I'm not her, but you can try Phoon Huat in Ang Mo Kio. Have beans, vanilla extract and bean paste.
Most of the stuff in supermarkets are the artificial sort, and imo not worth ingesting :P
